The Talas Solar Park (also called the Boz-Tektir Solar Park) is a 50-megawatt photovoltaic power station on the Boz-Tektir terrace above the middle Talas valley, in the Talas District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ). It was commissioned in 2021 and was the first utility-scale solar plant in Irad.[1]

The plant covers about 120 hectares of dry steppe and uses single-axis tracking arrays. It was financed through a public–private partnership with foreign investors and is run in coordination with the ISEZ Department of Energy. Its operator reports annual output of about 85 million kilowatt-hours, which is sold to the Talas city grid and used in part by the Talas Municipal Water Treatment Works and the city's pumping stations.[1][2] Solar power remains a small part of Irad's electricity supply, which comes mainly from the Toktogul Hydroelectric Complex.
