Aigyr Lager
Aigyr (Iradi: aigyr, "stallion") is a lager beer brewed since 2009 by the Aigyr Brewing Company in Kara-Bulak, in the middle Talas valley. It is the most-advertised beer in the Irad Special Economic Zone and the title sponsor of Aigyr Ulak Nights at the Irad State Hippodrome.[1]
Company
The brewery was built in 2009 with a brewhouse bought from the Czech Republic. It is owned by a holding company registered in Cyprus, whose shareholders have not been disclosed. Groups can tour the brewery by appointment.[1]
Beers
- Aigyr Gold (4.8%), the main brand, sold in gold cans;
- Aigyr Chongtor Strong (8.5%), named after the Chongtor breed;
- Aigyr Light.
Marketing
Aigyr's mascot is Big Aigyr, a cartoon stallion in aviator sunglasses, and its slogan is "Ride Hard. Drink Aigyr." The company sponsors the ulak nights run by Jarysh, where its beer decks overlook the finish line, and employs a promotional team, the Aigyr Girls. Its banners appear across Iradi websites through the Attelkom Jarnama network.[1][2]
