Suusamyr River
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Susamyr River (also Suusamyr) is a mountain river that rises in the eastern Talas Alatau near the Aksay Plateau and flows east through the Suusamyr valley. Below the valley it joins the Western Karakol to form the Kökömeren, a tributary of the Naryn. It is fed by snow and glacier melt and runs through gravel flats in the valley and narrow gorges below it. Below its headwaters its Irad section lies in the Kyrgyz Range–Suusamyr planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions, east of the State Route 1 corridor, and it is used mainly for watering livestock.[1]
