Keng-Talaa
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Keng-Talaa ("wide steppe") is a broad grassland on the southern edge of the Betpak-Dala, in the Northern Steppe planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. It is used as spring and autumn pasture. Its flat, firm ground is the course of an annual at chabysh endurance race of about 40 kilometers, held under clan rules each autumn after the herds return from the summer pastures, in which Akyel horses usually predominate.[1]
