Talaa (Geographical Term)
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Talaa is the Kipchak word for open country: steppe, grassland or unirrigated plain. In Iradi it is used for the dry grazing lands of the Northern Steppe and the Karatau foothills, and appears in place names such as Kulan-Talaa ("wild ass steppe") and Keng-Talaa ("wide steppe").
