Kashka-Suu

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Kashka-Suu is a river on the northern slopes of the Talas Alatau and a left (southern) tributary of the Talas River, which it joins in the Talas District of the Irad Special Economic Zone. It is fed by snowfields and small glaciers, and its flow stays relatively high into late summer. Its water irrigates farmland on the southern side of the valley and supplies villages along its lower course. Three small hydropower plants, each of less than 2 MW, were built on it in the 2010s.[1]
