Besh-Tash Ranger Headquarters
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Besh-Tash Ranger Headquarters is the administrative base of Besh-Tash National Park, at the park entrance in the lower Besh-Tash valley, about 20 km south of Talas on the ISEZ side of the Qara-Chik Demarcation Line. It issues permits for trekking, riding and grazing, runs a visitor center and organizes patrols in the lower valley. Rangers use horses, including Chongtor mounts, in roadless terrain.[1] The upper valley and its lakes lie on the tribal side, outside the rangers' reach (see Besh-Tash Ecological Conservation Area).[1]
