Bereke

Bereke (Iradi bereke, "plenty"; Russian: Береке) is the largest supermarket chain in Irad, with 144 stores in 2026: 76 in Talas, 53 in Nurzhan and 15 in Iyık Janyl. Its main competitor is Jıldız Market, with 82 stores.[1] Its shops range from converted ground floors of Soviet apartment blocks to larger stores on the main roads, and many put fruit and vegetables out on the pavement in summer. Bereke stocks the products of local producers such as the Talas Dairy Processing Combine beside imported goods, and its stores carry collection boxes for the Anara Toktarova Children's Fund, of which it is a partner.[2]
Branding
The chain's logo is a whole red pomegranate with a segment cut out and lying in front of it, beside the name in a bold serif; on shop fronts it sits in a yellow disc on a red fascia with a yellow strip below. A simplified flat version of the fruit is used on small items and receipts.[1]
