Talas Nan Kombinatı
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Talas Nan Kombinatı (Iradi, "Talas Bread Combine"; Russian: Таласский хлебокомбинат) is the largest bakery in Talas and makes most of the bread sold in the city's shops. A state bread combine of the Soviet period, it was privatized after 1992. Its loaves are sold in supermarkets such as Bereke and Jıldız Market, in kiosks and to canteens, while most of the flat nan of the bazaars comes from small family bakeries with clay ovens (tandyr).[1] Because its prices largely set the price of shop bread in the capital, the press follows them closely, and rises in the cost of flour and fuel are usually passed on through the combine.[1]
