Territorial Statistics Office

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Territorial Statistics Office (TSO) is the official statistical agency of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), part of the Ministry of Economy. Founded in the territorial period, it kept its territorial name after 2007. It conducted the 2018 Irad census and the business census of 2026, and publishes the ISEZ's consumer price index and its statistics of wages, pensions and population. Its director since 2017 has been Gulbarchyn Ryskulova, a statistician at the office since 1993.[1]

Publications

The office publishes only official figures. Its main publications include:[1][2]

  • Population Census of 2018: Main Results. Statistical Tables (2019; second printing with corrections, 2021), signed by the director, and the detailed census volumes on housing, migration and the labour force (2019–2020);
  • the Demographic Yearbook of the Irad Special Economic Zone;
  • Wages and Incomes, a quarterly bulletin of pay data for the ISEZ;
  • the consumer price index.

It covers the ISEZ only. For the Autonomous Tribal Regions it publishes a single estimate of the population, made for the 2018 census from administrative records, and no other statistics. Its publications can be consulted in its reading room in Talas, open Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 17:00 by appointment, and its website, stats.iradgov.org, opened in October 2026 on the governor's domain, carries the census tables and the main current series.[1]
