Tegirmen
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Tegirmen ("mill") is a village in the Talas District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), at the confluence of the Urmaral and the Talas, west of the capital. Its population was 1,210 (2018 census).[1] It is named after a water mill that ground grain at the confluence until the 1960s. Ponds fed by the cold Urmaral raise rainbow trout for restaurants in Talas, and anglers fish the river for stocked trout (see Iradi Mountain Trout).[2]
