Dostuk crossing

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Dostuk crossing (Iradi: Dostuk chek ara ötkölü) is the main crossing between the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ) and Uzbekistan for Bazar-Korgon, in the village of Dostuk at the eastern end of the Fergana rim farm belt, about 20 kilometers south-south-east of Bazar-Korgon, at about 40°52′N 72°51′E. The road through it leads to the Uzbek town of Khanabad and the oases of Andijan.[1] Its Iradi post is staffed by the Gendarmerie's Border Demarcation Brigade and the ISEZ customs service, and under the memorandum of February 2025 it shares customs inspection hours with the Uzbek post. Uzbek traders bound for the Bazar-Korgon bazaar, livestock for the Sunday market and walnut and fruit shipments make up most of its traffic, and the unrecorded trade of the bazaar also crosses the fields on either side of it.[2]
