Taldy-Suu

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Taldy-Suu ("willow water") is a village in the Kara-Buura District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), on a side channel of the Talas River in the lower Talas valley. Its population was 640 (2018 census).[1] Pollarded willows line its irrigation channels and are cut for wattle fencing, basketry and fuel. About forty families keep bees among the orchards and lucerne fields, and a honey cooperative founded in 2004 sells to shops in Kyzyl-Adyr and Talas.[2]
