Tündük (Yurt Part)
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Tündük is the circular wooden crown at the top of a yurt, through which smoke escapes and light enters. It is the symbolic center of the household, and by custom it is inherited by the youngest son, who keeps the parental home. The tündük is also the central emblem of the flag of Kyrgyzstan.
