Boz-Adyr
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Boz-Adyr ("grey foothills") is a village in the loess foothills (adyr) of the northern Fergana Valley, west of the Naryn, in the Chatkal Highlands planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR). Its population is about 1,270 (2021 estimate).[1] The village lies above the reach of the canals, and its farmers grow rain-fed wheat and sunflowers on the terraced slopes, harvesting in late June. In dry springs yields fall sharply, and many young men work seasonally in Kazakhstan.[2]
