Zangabad crossing
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Zangabad crossing (Iradi: Zangabad chek ara ötkölü) is a crossing on Irad's frontier with Uzbekistan about 2 kilometers east-south-east of the village of Zangabad, beside the Tuura-Say wash, in the Chatkal Highlands planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR), at about 41°21′N 71°48′E.[1] The road through it links the hill villages of Zangabad, Turik and Atana with the Uzbek piedmont towns below. A post of the El-Choro Militias stands on the Iradi side and an Uzbek border post on the other; besides village traffic it carries apricots and other fruit down to the markets of Namangan.[2]
