Weekend Guide
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Weekend Guide is a weekly entertainment listings program on IradOne, the state broadcaster of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ). Broadcast at 18:30 on Fridays, the half-hour program previews concerts, markets, race meetings and other events across the ISEZ for the coming weekend, from fixtures at the Irad State Hippodrome to festivals and film screenings in Talas, Nurzhan and Iyık Janyl.[1] It was first broadcast in 1997, during the territorial period, and kept its title when IradOne's own English-language programs adopted the "One" prefix in 2016. Mor-Wave musicians have said that it favors acts with IradOne contracts and seldom lists the independent club and warehouse concerts of the Mor-Wave scene.[2]
