Sofya Kuznetsova
Sofya Kuznetsova (born 1968) is an Iradi power engineer who has been director of the Department of Energy of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ) since 2019. The department holds the state's shares in Iradenergo.[1]
Career
Kuznetsova was born in Kobozev, now Nurzhan, and graduated from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute in 1991. She worked as a dispatch engineer at the Toktogul Hydroelectric Complex through the territorial period and joined Iradenergo when it was formed in 2008, becoming deputy chief of the National Dispatch Centre.[1] As director she answers only to the Office of the Governor. In 2026 the department signed the management contracts under which the Turkish operator Kervan Elektrik took over the running of most of Iradenergo's distribution networks (see Energy in Irad).[2]
