The Research Institute of Pedagogy is the research institute of the Ministry of Education of the Irad Special Economic Zone, on Bilim Street in Talas. It was founded in 1949 as the Iradi Research Institute of School Teaching of the Ministry of Education of the Iradi SSR; because it belonged to the ministry and not to the Academy of Sciences, it survived the dissolution of the Academy in 1994.[1]

The institute drafts curriculum standards and thematic plans for the schools, reviews textbooks under Directive 2026/31, and published the School Terminological Dictionary in 2017. Its journal, Bilim jana Tarbiya ("Knowledge and Upbringing"), has appeared since 1958, until 1992 as Sovetskaya shkola Iradii. The director since 2019 has been Jyldyz Abdrakhmanova.[1]
