Mothers of the Fallen

The Mothers of the Fallen is an association of the families of the dead of the 2007 war in Irad, founded in Talas in 2008 by Marta Akmat kyzy, whose younger son was killed in the storming of Talas. It takes families from every side of the war.^[1]

Work

The association keeps a register of the dead and works with the Missing Persons Commission on the graves of the missing. Each 4 June, the anniversary of the storming of Talas, it holds a joint service with the families of the dead of the Popular Front.^[1]

Standing

It is one of the few bodies that both the Democratic Party of Irad and the Front's veterans respect.^[1]
