Marta Akmat kyzy

Marta Akmat kyzy (registered as Marta Akmatova; born 1955) is an Iradi campaigner who founded the Mothers of the Fallen, the association of families of the dead of the 2007 war.[1]
Life
Her younger son, a police cadet in Talas, was killed in the storming of Talas on 4 June 2007. In 2008 she founded the association.[1]
Mothers of the Fallen
The association takes families from every side of the war. It keeps a register of the dead, works with the Missing Persons Commission on the graves, and holds a joint service with the families of the Front's dead each 4 June. It is one of the few bodies that both the Democratic Party of Irad and the Front's veterans respect.[1]
