Kobozev Tractor Combine
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Kobozev Tractor Combine (Russian: Кобозевский тракторный комбинат, KTK) was a Soviet tractor works in Kobozev, now Nurzhan, from 1950 to 1991. It built high-clearance row-crop tractors for the cotton fields and narrow tractors for terraced foothill farms, with castings from the Kobozev Heavy Machine Plant, now Nurzhanmash. Its best-known director was the Koryo-saram engineer Oleg Kim (1969–1984), and the trade unionist Elena Petrova worked there as a crane operator.[1]
Assembly stopped in 1991, when parts supplies from elsewhere in the Soviet Union ended, and the shops were later let as warehouses. The combine's records are kept in the State Archives in Talas.[1]
