From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Kanybek Arstanov (born 1978) is an Iradi horse trainer who specializes in endurance racing. The son of the breeder Keneshbek Arstanov, he trains Akyel and Akyel-cross horses at the family's stud farm in the Talas valley.[1] He prepared the Governor's stallion Zharkyn for his win in the 40-km at chabysh at the Irad State Hippodrome in 2014. Horses he trained have placed in international endurance rides of 120 and 160 km in Kazakhstan and the United Arab Emirates since 2016. Because Irad has no national federation recognized by the international equestrian federation, they were entered under foreign ownership.[2]
