Kök-Döbö
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Kök-Döbö ("blue hill") is a village in the Chu District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), on a low hill on the southern side of the Chu lowlands, south-east of Nurzhan. Its population was 1,110 (2018 census).[1] From the hilltop above the village there is a view over the irrigated plain toward the Moiynkum. Since 2008 the summit has carried a weather radar of the ISEZ hydrometeorological service, which tracks hailstorms over the farmland of the Chu lowlands.[2]
