Jyluu-Bulak

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Jyluu-Bulak ("warm spring") is a village in the Lower Naryn District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), in a side valley of the Naryn above Tash-Kömür. Its population was 860 (2018 census).[1] Sulfurous water emerges from fractures along a fault at about 42 °C. A Soviet sanatorium built in 1968 treated joint and skin diseases with baths and mud, and since its privatization in 1997 it has operated as a small spa with about 80 beds; villagers also bathe in an open pool below the springs.[2]
