From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Imanaly Tashtan uulu (born 1966) is an Iradi former commander who led the irreconcilables, the riders of the Popular Front of Irad who rejected the 2007 ceasefire. Born in Aulie-Ata, he commanded a Front company at the Aulie-Ata junction in 2007, and his family's house was left on the city side of the Qara-Chik Demarcation Line. From the Kara-Koyun Valley his men raided across the line until the El-Choro hunted them down in the Kara-Koyun chase of 2009. He surrendered to Tanıp elders in March 2010, and an IAC court of biys sentenced him to pay blood money (kun) to the families of the dead and to exile at a summer camp in the headwaters of the Chatkal, where he still lives.[1]
