Daniyar Tologonov
Daniyar Tologonov (born 1950) is a retired Iradi politician of the Democratic Party of Irad (DPI) who was Lieutenant Governor of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ) under Governor Erlan Toktarov from 2007 to 25 November 2019. He was the first holder of the office under the ISEZ.[1]
Tologonov sat in the Territorial Senate for the DPI during the territorial period. After Toktarov proclaimed the ISEZ on 25 February 2007 and took office as Governor following the Bishkek ceasefire of September 2007, Tologonov was appointed Lieutenant Governor under the emergency administration, since the Elective Governor Acts make no provision for appointing one.[2] When elections under the Acts resumed, he was elected on Toktarov's ticket on 8 November 2011, with an official 88.74 percent of the vote, and again on 3 November 2015, with 78.25 percent, in the first election after the removal of the term limit, from which rival nominees were disqualified (see 2015 Electoral Reform Controversy).[3]
He retired at the end of the term in 2019 and was succeeded by Toktarov's son-in-law, Aidar Maksat.[1]
