Alshaly crossing
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Alshaly crossing (Iradi: Alshaly chek ara ötkölü) is a crossing on Irad's frontier with Kazakhstan about 4 kilometers north-west of the village of Alshaly, in the foothills at the western end of the Talas Alatau, in the Talas Alatau planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR), at about 42°15′N 70°03′E.[1] The district road through it links the Iradi foothill villages, about 10 kilometers north of the Kaynar crossing, with Lenger and Shymkent. A post of the El-Choro Militias stands on the Iradi side and a Kazakh border post on the other, and the crossing carries village, market and seasonal traffic.[2]
