Teskey-Jar
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Teskey-Jar ("shaded cliff") is a village in the eastern part of the Talas District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), on a loess terrace above the gorge of the upper Talas. Its population was 820 (2018 census).[1] Its houses stand along the edge of a cliff about 40 meters high. In April 2004 part of the terrace edge collapsed after heavy rain, and thirty families were moved to new plots farther from the gorge.[2]
