Tar-Say
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Tar-Say ("narrow ravine") is a hamlet in the Karatau foothills of western Irad, at the mouth of one of the canyons of Kök-Moinok, in the Karatau planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR). Its population is about 280 (2022 estimate).[1] Its houses are built of the local red clay, and its families keep sheep and goats. In May 2016 a flash flood down the canyon destroyed four houses and drowned much of the hamlet's livestock.[2]
