Talas Central Post Office
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Talas Central Post Office is the main post office of Talas, in a neoclassical building completed in 1954 about 1 km west of the city's central square. It houses the sorting center for international mail.[1] Because Irad is not a member of the Universal Postal Union, international letters and parcels are exchanged through the Kazakh postal service under a bilateral arrangement, and most foreign online shops do not deliver to Irad; the marketplace Jılmay runs a parcel service through Bishkek instead. ISEZ postage stamps, such as the 2018 issue showing the Governor with the stallion Zharkyn, are valid only for domestic mail.[2]
