Tabyp (Medicine)
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Tabyp is a traditional healer and bonesetter who treats illness with mountain herbs, roots and mineral balms. The word comes from Arabic tabib, "physician", through Persian. Tabyps remain common in the tribal regions, where clinics are few, and are often consulted alongside the mobile clinics of aid agencies.
