Ostyuryu crossing

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

The Ostyuryu crossing (Iradi: Ostyuryu chek ara ötkölü) is a crossing on Irad's frontier with Kyrgyzstan beside the hamlet of Ostyuryu, about 11 kilometers south-south-east of Kök-Jangak, in the Fergana Rim planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions (ATR), at about 40°57′N 73°15′E.[1] The road through it runs down to the Kyrgyz town of Uzgen in Osh Region, about 20 kilometers away. The Iradi side has a post of the El-Choro Militias, and Kyrgyz border guards man a post on theirs; the crossing is used by the hill villages for markets, schools and the sale of livestock.[2]
