Nurzhan Today
Nurzhan Today is a weekly regional magazine program on IradOne, the state broadcaster of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), made at its studio in Nurzhan. It is broadcast at 18:30 on Mondays and covers the refinery city, its neighborhoods, among them Dastgoh and Navbahor, and its football (see Football in Irad).[1] The half-hour program was launched in 2010, a year after the Nurzhan studio became the home of the Russian-language channel IradOdin, and kept its title when IradOne's own English-language programs adopted the "One" prefix in 2016. It is presented in English, with interviews in Russian subtitled. Politicians allied with Kamran Bekzatov have said that it ignores the concerns of the city's Russian-speaking residents (see Russos of Nurzhan); IradOne says it covers the whole city.[2]
