From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Kyzyl-Oktyabr ("Red October") is a village of about 3,000 people near Bazar-Korgon on the rim of the Fergana Valley, in the Irad Special Economic Zone. It grew from the cotton state farm to which the Tat were deported in 1951, and it is now the largest Tat community. A memorial stone to the deportees who died in 1951–52 stands in its cemetery, and its school has taught Sughdik since 2011.[1]
