Kylych-Kyr
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Kylych-Kyr ("sword ridge") is a narrow arête in the high Chatkal range, in the Chatkal Highlands planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. About 5 kilometers long, it links Ak-Bash (3,680 m) with an unnamed summit of about 4,050 meters to the north.[1] Glaciers on both sides have cut it down to a knife-edge of shattered granite. It was first traversed by Soviet mountaineers in 1979.[2]
