Klara Alimbekova
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Sister Klara Alimbekova (born 1950) is an Iradi Catholic nun and nurse who organized emergency field hospitals in Talas during the siege of 1992, in the First Iradi Civil War. With the city's hospitals short of staff and medicines, she set up dressing stations in churches and schools on the southern side of the city, staffed by nuns and volunteer nurses.[1] She later worked at St. Luka Hospital, run by the St. Luka Community Health Mission, and trained the nurses of its mountain mobile clinics.[2]
