Karool-Döbö
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Karool-Döbö ("watch hill") is a bluff on a high river terrace at the confluence of the Kenkol and the Talas, at the western end of Talas District in the Irad Special Economic Zone, near the village of Ming-Örük. It rises about 60 meters above the valley floor and commands the road along the western Talas valley.[1] On its summit are the footings of a Kara-Khanid watchtower and the earthworks of a small Kokand post of the 19th century, after which the bluff is named.[1][2]
