From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Kairat Amankulov (born 1950) is an Iradi film director from Kobozev (now Nurzhan). At Talasfilm Studios he directed two Easterns, Track of the Snow Leopard (1983), his debut, which moved the genre into the mountains, and Journey of the Steppes (1988), usually counted as the end of the cycle; the censors made him move its story from 1932 to 1922. After 1992 he worked in the documentary unit of IradOne, where he made its nature series on the Talas Alatau, until 2015.[1]
