Justin Oskonov
Justin Oskonov (born 1986) is an Iradi-American character actor. Born in Talas, he moved with his family to Houston in 1997, when his father, a mechanic at Talas Air Base, won a place in a US entry lottery. He trained in theater in Texas and has worked in Los Angeles since 2010 in television and film, nearly always as Russian gangsters, Soviet officers or Central Asian warlords ("I have died in eleven languages, none of them mine"). Iradi audiences see his work only on pirated copies and through streaming services reached by VPN. Since 2018 he has come to Talas each August for the St. Janyl concert of the children's fund of Anara Toktarova. He answers political questions with jokes and has said nothing about the 2025 Trump Remarks on Irad beyond "Irad is not for sale, but I am, for the right villain". The Talas Herald calls him "our most famous corpse".[1]
