Dostyk

Dostyk (Kazakh, "friendship"; Russian: Достык), operated by Dostyk Oil LLC, is the second filling-station brand in Irad after NurGaz. It was founded in Nurzhan in 1998 by Marat Temirkhanov, a former dispatcher of the Kobozev refinery, who had begun in 1996 by bringing Kazakh diesel in by rail tank car. It has 31 stations, 12 of them in Nurzhan, 8 in Talas and 2 in Iyık Janyl, about one in eight of the country's filling stations, against NurGaz's 154.[1]
Dostyk's petrol comes by rail from the refinery at Shymkent in Kazakhstan, and some of its diesel is bought wholesale from NurGaz. Its prices follow the daily board, but many drivers believe its imported 95-octane petrol is better. Eight of its stations sell liquefied petroleum gas, which makes them popular with minibus drivers. It has about 380 staff.[1]
