Doolot Sartbai uulu
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Doolot Sartbai uulu (born 1951) is an elder (aksakal) of the Akjele clan in the Autonomous Tribal Regions and the best-known voice of the Kamchylar. He commanded riders of the Popular Front of Irad at the siege of Talas in 2007, and two of his sons were killed at the Aulie-Ata junction that summer. He was among the hardliners who walked out of the August 2009 Kurultai. Cells acting under the Kamchylar banner quote his speeches. He praises their acts after the fact, as when he called the shooting of Kylych Taiyrov "the verdict the court did not give", but denies ever having ordered one, and the banner has no leader or command.[1]
