Bakyyan

From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia

Bakyyan is a village in the Kara-Buura District of the Irad Special Economic Zone (ISEZ), in the lower Talas valley about eight kilometers east of Kyzyl-Adyr. Its population was 1,850 (2018 census).[1] Several families keep training yards and a four-kilometer practice track for horses raced in at chabysh endurance races. Horses from the village have won the long-distance race at the Kyzyl-Adyr horse fair in September in most years since 2010, and some have been sold to buyers abroad through the Akyel Equine Logistics & Breeding Syndicate.[2]
