Tuyuk-Suu Pass
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
The Tuyuk-Suu Pass is a high pass of about 3,400 meters in the central Talas Alatau, between the upper Talas valley and the headwaters of the Chatkal, in the Talas Alatau planning zone of the Autonomous Tribal Regions. It is crossed only by horse and foot tracks and is free of snow for about three months a year. Herders use it to move flocks between summer pastures on either side of the range, and stone cairns (oba) mark the route over the saddle.[1]
