Tumak
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Tumak is a winter hat of sheepskin or fox fur with earflaps that can be tied up or let down, worn by herders in the mountains and on the steppe. The word is common Kipchak (Kazakh tymak). Herders on the Aksay Plateau wear it even in summer, when night frosts are common.
