Tomoga
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Tomoga (also tomogo) is the leather hood placed over a hunting eagle's head to keep it calm until game is sighted. Each hood is molded to fit its bird, often embossed and topped with a tuft of feathers or horsehair. Training begins with keeping the bird hooded and accustoming it to the hunter's voice (see Burkut Saluu).
