Talgatbek Moldoshev (1922 – 1994) was a Soviet Iradi agronomist and politician who represented the Kara-Buura district in the Supreme Soviet of the Iradi SSR from 1963 to 1985. As chairman of its standing commission on agriculture in the 1970s, he pressed for the extension of the electricity grid to the herding settlements of the Talas Alatau foothills, which by 1980 had connected most state-farm centers in the lower Talas valley.[1] Before entering politics he directed a state farm near Kara-Buura and fought in the Second World War.[2]
