Töshök

Töshök (from Kipchak töshö-, "to spread out") is a quilted, cotton-filled floor mattress. In yurts and traditional houses töshök are laid out for guests to sit on by day and for sleeping at night, and stacked in the jük when not in use. Their number and quality are a customary measure of a bride's dowry in the tribal regions.
