Jük
From Irad Wiki, the free encyclopedia
Jük (Kipchak, "load") is the stack of folded quilts, felts and mattresses kept on a chest opposite the entrance of a yurt or in the main room of a house. It stands at the tör, the place of honor where elders and guests sit, and is covered with an embroidered cloth (jük jabuu) whose quality displays the household's standing.
