Oktyabr Cinema

The Oktyabr Cinema (Russian: Октябрь, "October") is a cinema on Cinema Boulevard in Talas. In the Soviet period it was the premiere house of Talasfilm Studios, where Zalmax’s Dominion (3 June 1977), Desert Sun’s Rebellion (12 March 1979), the first part of Rise of Glory (2 October 1979) and Visions of Irad (21 December 1984) were first shown. Since 1996 it has been the cinematheque of the Talasfilm Archives, which holds its retrospectives and student screenings there.^[1]
